We all face the daily opportunity to worry about something - our health, finances, family, jobs, the economy. The list is endless. If we let them, our worries can consume our lives!
The secret so many people miss is that it's not enough to tell yourself not to worry about something; you have to replace worried thoughts with God's thoughts. When you dwell on the Word, you dwell on His thoughts. Making it a part of your daily routine to read, meditate, and speak God's Word will transform your life.
God speaks directly to you in Matthew 6:25-27: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? (NKJV)
When worry tries to grip you, tell yourself to keep calm and trust God, because He is going to take care of you. You are more precious than gold to Him.
